Horsham – West Sussex

With a private housing development in close proximity to the train station where space was at a premium, the client came to Ideal Lifts for one of our industry leading compact designs.  This 4-storey building includes a concrete podium and underground carpark with a timber framed building above which accommodates 30 one, two and three bedroom apartments and duplex homes.

Assisting the client in optimising the available space Ideal Lifts installed one of the smallest motor room less traction drive 8-person passenger lifts available on the market, with energy efficient lighting and a durable finish.

Our compact 630 kg 8-Person ‘Essential Car’ lift was specified in our frame system to accommodate natural vertical settlement within the timber building.

Royal Leamington Spa

Installation of 6 passenger lifts for phase 1 of this development which comprised a mixture of luxurious apartments, penthouses and family homes.

As part of this prestigious mixed-tenure development the client requested 8 persons’ passenger lifts, which were installed with our frame structure within timber framed construction.

The client required an ‘Enhanced’ car finish with granite car floors and quality laminated wall boards combined with stainless steel; “exceeding our expectations on the finishes”.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, Ideal Lifts Ltd. were appointed with the installation of a further four lifts as part of phase 2 of the development.

Crawley

Ideal Lifts Ltd. installed five separate 8-person passenger lifts that were fully compliant with Part M of the Building Regulations for disabled persons.

The design incorporated Ideal Lifts frame system designed for either timber construction or Light Gauge Steel (LGS) to replace conventional shaft construction. This project comprised of two blocks. The first was a 5/6 storey block with 66 flats and the second a 7-storey block behind with 26 flats.

The development was mixed tenure. The Housing Associations ‘Employers Requirements’ had a number of distinct requirements including robust patterned reinforced stainless-steel wall panels, polished stainless-steel mirrors and premium doors in lieu of industry standard 40/10 doors.

Waterlooville – Care Home

This care home has had two lifts fitted – an 8 and 13 person. Both lifts have wireless intercom systems fitted as can be seen in the photos.

Commercial Care Homes

Ideal Lifts 8 and 13 person high efficiency motor room less passenger lifts, fitted with contemporary laminated wall boards and low energy LED lighting.

Following detailed discussions regarding the client’s requirements and Building Control Department, the half height mirror normally fitted to the rear wall were replaced with wallboards to suit resident’s specific needs. Exceeding the requirements of Part M of The Building Regulations, all lifts are fitted with ‘curved in’ handrails to all sides of the lift car.

Both lifts were installed into Ideal Lifts Frame System (structure) within the timber shaft, a fast and efficient solution designed to accommodate the natural vertical settlement of the timber framed building.

Ideal Lifts are extremely well positioned to install a wide range of frame mounted passenger lifts including 6, 8, 10 and 13 person capacities.

Chatham Kent with site prior to redevelopment

Due to limitations in the boundaries of the site, the new timber framed apartments required an incredibly small shaft size coupled with our ultra-compact structure mounted design. The Ideal Lift frame provided the solution with our 6 and 8 person passenger lifts for this scheme.

Derby Project – Light Gauge Steel

Light Gauge Steel (LGS) incorporation smart lift shaft design.

Our frame system enables the use of standard LGS wall panels throughout the building, speeding up production and the whole lift shaft construction. Removes all specialist fixing channels. Lifting beams included with our Frame System.

Dean Clarke House

The elegant Dean Clarke House, built in 1742 as England’s first general hospital, was refurbished and Ideal were asked to provide lifts that could be retrofitted in an open space staircase.

The finished lift is elegant with a veneered lift car complete with a glazed rear wall looking out on the beautiful staircase.

The building was originally used by Nelson and his men for stores and a pub, recently converted to an Hotel, the available lift shaft space was very restricted, Ideal engineered a bespoke lift and Ideal Lift Frame to fit.

Traditional style with a modern approach

EACH OF THESE three three-storey apartments required a six-person passenger lift, all installed by Ideal Lifts.

Behind the traditional style of the building is a highly efficient modular
construction. It does not have a usual block shaft but uses our Ideal Lifts Frame System to enhance this modern method of construction and the efficiencies it provides.
