Service Supervisor – Okehampton
Due to continued expansion Ideal Lifts Service Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Service Supervisor who would like to join our professional team supervising service and callout engineers.
We are looking for an energetic and motivated candidate with customer service skills to match an excellent technical support ability. The ideal candidate will already be based near Okehampton or be willing to relocate.
The role will be mainly office based, starting at 8:30 am each morning with site visits being planned in to support staff and carry out quality audits.
Person specification and skills required:
- Previous experience supervising site based engineering staff
- Experience working to, producing and reviewing RAMS
- Ability to excel in a fast moving environment and prioritise own work
- Full driving licence
- Effective communicator
- Confidence using computer business software and smart phone apps
- Ability to learn new skills

Are you interested in a career in design?
Ideal Lifts is looking for a local apprentice to train in digital design and engineering.
The apprentice will be employed by Ideal Lifts from the start of the course, which is planned to commence on the 6th March. The initial training takes 16 weeks and will be 4 days each week at college.
Ideal Lifts will pay travel and accommodation expenses.
We have registered with Cadcoe, a specialist training provider of computer aided design apprenticeships.
The training takes place at Dudley College in their new Advance2 Building:
After 16 weeks, the apprentice will be working with Ideal Lifts, full-time. An assessor from Dudley College will visit to assess the qualification in the workplace and Cadcoe will monitor progress throughout the 2-year programme.
By the end of the 16 weeks, the apprentice will have completed all the teaching sessions for the BTEC and will have some assignments left to complete, the remainder of the course will be completed in the workplace.
Entry requirements for the course are:
GCSE’s at grades A-C in Maths, English and Science (or equivalent qualifications).
