IL2

Ideal Lifts IL2 Hybrid Access Lift

Our hybrid access range, whist travelling at a lower speed, offers much of the functionality of a conventional passenger lift. With a fully enclosed cabin and automatic ‘one touch’ controls. The IL2 is designed to fit in only a 150mm pit and 2750mm headroom. In keeping with BS EN 81-41 the IL2 has a drive system designed for low use.

Above 2 floors, things you should know:

To comply with vertical lifting platform standards BS EN 81-41 a maximum speed of 0.15m/s is permitted. To place this into perspective please see illustration below:

Floors Served Typical floor to floor travel (mm) Approximate journey time (seconds)
Ground to first 2800 19
Ground to second 5600 38
Ground to third* 8400 57

*On the basis that the lift is already at the 3rd floor when it is called from ground, this would equate to a total journey time of nearly 2 minutes if travelling back up to the 3rd floor.

Traction V's Typical Hydraulic Lifts

Traction lifts feature a control drive which is integrated into the lift shaft, and don’t need separate (non fire-rated) control cabinets like a hydraulic lift. Traction drive lifts provide a more environmentally friendly, energy efficient solution when compared with hydraulic lifts.
